Project Description

Giotto Enterprise hired me to animate the artwork Ron Arad created for illy's 54th Barcolana collection.

I started cutting out the boats from the base design, and then moved onto Cinema4D to recreate the characteristic graphic style of the water.

Once created the 3d animated water surface and tracked the 2D raster boats onto it, I exported the animation as a png sequence and applied it as a texture to the coffe cup that I modeled in Cinema4d.

The video was aired in all illy shops across the globe to celebrate Ron Arad's Barcolana collection. 6 different video sizes were delivered in order to fit most screen sizes.
